Wendy Toothaker

Bambini and Nido Program Lead Directress

Wendy has been with MSM since 2016, beginning as an assistant in the Casa room. The Montessori principles of treating even very young children with respect and supporting children's individual development resonated deeply with Wendy. This influenced her decision to pursue formal and intensive Montessori training. She received her AMS and MACTE accredited degree through the Center for Guided Montessori Studies in 2019. Thus qualifying her to lead children aged zero to three years old in the Nido (nest) and Bambini (small children) classroom.

Wendy loves seeing the amazing growth and development of her students from when they first enter her classroom until they are ready to move on to Casa (children's house). As they develop their language and independence skills, each child's unique personality emerges quite clearly.

Previous to joining the MSM staff, Wendy taught as an assistant or lead teacher in a variety of school settings. Living on various army posts with her husband and four children, now grown, Wendy has worked with infants all the way up to high-schoolers throughout her career.
